German Shepherd    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

GWEN was saved from Fort Worth Animal Services on 5th November 2014 with severe mange and skin infections. Whilst being in rescue and under treatment she has done great and all infections has been cleared and mange gone. GWEN now just needs to have her hair grow back, it has already started coming through great on her face, her body will just take time, but soon enough she will have a full coat and no one would ever know she was in such a horrible neglected condition. Since GWEN has been feeling better she has definitely found her 'puppy-ness' she is full of life, loves to chase and play with the other dogs, adult and puppies and she loves ... (Read More)her toys. GWEN will benefit from an active family that can give her not only the physical exercise that she needs, but also the mental stimulation that this intelligent breed needs to keep their mind occupied and challenged. GWEN, as all dogs, will need some obedience training with the family. This will not only set the boundaries but will also let her know what is expected from her and allow both GWEN and her new family to learn about each other's ways an mannerisms. GWEN although very energetic loves to hang out and get / give lots of cuddles and kisses. She is a very loving affectionate girl. GWEN is spayed, rabies, up to date on vaccines, heart-worm tested negative, de-wormed and micro-chipped. She has a date of birth of around 2nd April 2014 and currently weighs around 50 pounds GWEN is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350. Although located in Texas we are using Rescue Road Trips LLC., a highly reputable animal rescue transport company to re-locate our dogs from rescue to meet their families along the East Coast (This allows us to save more dogs from the high rate kill shelters here in Texas). This is a private company and their transport fee (which is paid directly to them) is $185 per dog. This fee is in addition to what you would pay the rescue for the adoption fee. Our application and process can be found on our website under the application tab. www.giveadogahome-sanantonio.org (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-27-00361ZADA (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

ZADA was saved from Montgomery Animal Control, where she had been found and been clearly abused and neglected. Despite her terrible condition and being starved she is a very sweet girl. ZADA has done great in the rescue and her skin has healed well, she has also healed mentally and a beautiful, energetic, confident and somewhat vocal (when playing) girl has emerged. ZADA loves to play and chase with the other dogs, she plays almost all day. She is a high energy girl that would benefit from an active family that can give her both the mental and physical stimulation that she needs. ZADA is very loving and affectionate and as much as she has ... (Read More)a lot of energy, she also loves to cuddle and give/get lots of loving. ZADA's hair is still a little patchy where it her skin had been badly infected, however, this will grow over time and her coat will be even and beautiful. Since being in rescue she has been and is still on a good diet, (merick dog food) and varying supplements including colostrum powder, pure honey and coconut oil. She would benefit from being kept on these, as would all dogs since they are all natural and have many different benefits. We do not have cats at the rescue so do not know how she is with cats. ZADA is spayed, rabies, up to date on vaccines, heart-worm NEGATIVE, de-wormed and micro-chipped. She weighs around 65 pounds and has a date of birth of around December 2013. ZADA's is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $350.
